We will be looking at the rapid transformation that is occurring due in large part to the pandemic and we will draw parallels with other industries that have gone through transformation.

We will provide you with roadmaps to reveal opportunities for innovation, differentiation and partnerships that will create value for you and your stakeholders.

We have all had to adapt and engage with our audiences in a different way during these challenges times. Today we will be addressing ways we can engage with our audience in the digital world and how these can be blended into the real world. There will also be lessons learnt from the gaming industry.

Today is also your chance to shine through a share and gain session whereby you can share an initiative you are proud of or can crowdsource solutions for a challenge you are facing.

IMPACT

How can your events create a long lasting impact? Today we will be sharing examples of three events that are creating an impact in Madrid. They will be presenting case studies on their programmes and will share the obstacles they faced together with key learning points.

We also look forward to the BestCities Global Forum in Madrid from 2 - 5 September 2021. We will give you a taste of what we have in store for the event.

Jane Cunningham

Based in Stockholm, Jane has been doing Business Development for BestCities Global Alliance since December 2009. Before joining the team Jane was the Sales Director for Congrex UK, an international professional conference organisation. Prior to that, she spent five years at the EICC (Edinburgh International Conference Centre) in Association Sales. Before returning to Scotland Jane worked in Dubai for Le Meridien Hotel as a Sales Manager.

Jane studied French, Italian and Tourism and after college she spent a number of years overseas working in the hospitality and tourism industry. She was an active member of ICCA and was on the ICCA UK & Ireland committee.

MindMeeting

Mike has almost 25 years’ experience in the meeting industry, initially as conference interpreter and subsequently as Meeting Designer through Mindmeeting, the company he co-founded. In addition, he is an executive consultant and coach on national and organisational culture.

Mike regularly provides content at international conferences. Furthermore, Mike was also a former member of the board of the Italian Chapter of MPI, a former member of Itim, the Institute for Training in Intercultural Management and former Board member of Congrestolkensecretariaat (Conference Interpreters) of Amsterdam. He lives both in Italy and the Netherlands.
